DZ Flatbed Truck Driver

Position Summary

Position Title: DZ Flatbed Driver

Location (Start Point): Huntsville, Ontario

Delivery Area: Local | Regional

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Schedule: Days, Monday–Saturday

Start Time: 7:00 AM start-time

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented drivers to join our growing transportation team. Responsibilities

- Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Huntsville and surrounding area’s
- Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within the assigned region in a safe, timely, and professional manner
- Operate flatbed equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
- Transport general freight and bulk materials in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
- Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures




- Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required

Core Requirements (All Driver Roles)

- Valid DZ driver's license
- Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
- Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year)
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
- Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
- Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach

Role-Specific Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 3 / DZ driving experience
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable flatbed experience
- Experience securing loads using chains and straps in all weather conditions
- Experience hauling steel, lumber, or similar freight
- Robust knowledge of [Insert City] and surrounding areas
