Your Impact at Empire Empire Homes is seeking a Design Coordinator! In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and inclusion of all necessary design documents required to build a home. The Design Coordinator will process all orders, upload appropriate documents to Sharepoint, and Generate Options & Upgrade Agreements.

This role is located at our Design Centre in Caledonia . This posting is for a replacement position. The expected annual salary range for this role in $55,000 - $70,000/year. This position is also eligible to participate in our short-term incentive program.

What We Are Looking For

- Post secondary diploma or equivalent experience in Business Administration.
- 1-2 years experience in Administration, Customer Service, Site Clerk.
- Design centre and/or homebuilding experience is considered a solid asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused (Internal and external)
- Detail oriented, Analytical, investigative nature.
- Ability to multi-task with limited supervision.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience in Newstar considered an asset.

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

- Identifies any / all errors on design documents and communicates the errors to applicable Design Consultant(s); ensures corrections are completed and re-submitted within specified timeframe.
- Prioritizes file completion according to constructions schedule.
- Provides final approval and executes design documents; circulates to applicable departments.
- Reconciles all amendments, cheques and credit card payments; distributes to applicable internal departments.
- Maintains internal trackers, as required.
- Includes deposit information in NewStar; uploads design package and Amendments to Customer Connect Portal; Maintains amendment and cheque log, distributes to internal departments.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of pre-construction upgrade options as well as standard and upgrade features and finish options displayed in the showroom.




- Suggests and presents process efficiencies and improvements to Design Centre Manager.
- Escalate concerns to Design Liason, as applicable.
- Investigating and responding to all incoming design related emails / phone call inquiries.
- Responding to Construction, Procurement, and Trade inquiries.
- Collaborating with Customer Care to resolve homeowner inquiries, PDI and design-related warranty items.
- Provides follow-up to purchaser inquiries, questions, and concerns.
- Assists with the completion of high volume re-selections, as required.
