The Opportunity

Rightway Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established electrical contractor in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Our client has built a strong reputation across the industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) market, delivering projects with a disciplined, practical, and results-driven approach.

The business operates with a flat structure, strong internal systems, and minimal bureaucracy, creating an environment where individuals are trusted to perform and take ownership of their work. With a consistent pipeline of commercial projects, they are now looking to bring on an experienced Electrical Estimator to support ongoing growth.

This is a production-focused estimating role, suited to someone who can operate independently, manage multiple bids, and deliver accurate, high-quality tenders. The position is centred on execution, accountability, and margin protection, not business development or relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage multiple electrical bid opportunities simultaneously
- Perform detailed and accurate takeoffs using Accubid
- Interpret full drawing packages across multiple disciplines
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost exposures early
- Validate and coordinate supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Prepare and submit complete, competitive tenders
- Support bid closing and ensure a clean handoff to project management

Project Scope

- Commercial / ICI electrical projects
- Typical project values ranging from $100K to $5M+
- High-volume bid workplace with $500K–$1M+ weekly output

What You Bring





- 5+ years electrical estimating experience
- Background in commercial / ICI construction
- Strong proficiency with Accubid or similar software (required)
- Experience with LiveCount or similar takeoff software
- Ability to read and interpret full drawing sets
- Strong understanding of costing, labour, and project scope
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Independent, proactive, and accountable work style
- Strong communication skills

Compensation & Benefits
