Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare computer-aided (CADD) engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for municipal infrastructure projects.
- Conduct field surveys, collect and analyze engineering data, and provide construction staking and as-built information.
- Maintain and update engineering records, maps, and infrastructure drawings.
- Develop and maintain drafting, mapping, and digital submission standards.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with City departments, consultants, contractors, utilities, and the public.
- Assist with project administration, regulatory compliance, and other engineering-related duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
- CADD or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma (or equivalent) from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Robust knowledge of Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) related to municipal engineering and mapping.
- Experience with surveying techniques and survey equipment (Total - - Station, GPS, Automatic Level).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) designation.
- Experience working with municipal infrastructure projects and GIS mapping.
- Demonstrated abilities in the use of ESRI GIS software.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7:30 am 4:30 pm (37.5 hours per week).
