Parr Business Law | Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)| 3-7 years call At Parr Business Law, we're building a modern estate planning practice focused on business owners, incorporated professionals, and entrepreneurial families, clients whose personal, business, and legacy planning are deeply connected. We're looking for an experienced estate planning lawyer who enjoys working directly with clients, leading important conversations, and helping families make confident decisions about their future. This is not a back-office drafting role.
You'll lead our signature Legacy Workshop Sessions, guiding clients through their estate planning options, making clear recommendations, and helping them move confidently from planning to implementation. Our established systems and experienced paralegal team support you throughout the process, allowing you to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional client advice and building lasting relationships. Your Role
Lead Legacy Workshop Sessions for business owners, professionals, and families with sophisticated planning needs.
Advise clients on Wills, Powers of Attorney, Representation Agreements, corporate Wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, and related estate planning strategies.
Recommend appropriate legal solutions, define the scope of work, discuss fees, and confidently guide clients through the engagement process.
Collaborate with accountants, financial advisors, and our corporate law team while remaining the client's primary trusted advisor.
Build and maintain strong referral relationships with accountants, wealth advisors, insurance professionals, and other trusted partners.
Oversee each matter through signing and implementation, supported by dedicated paralegal and administrative staff.
Develop long-term client relationships that extend well beyond the initial estate plan. Your Contribution
Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia, with no practice restrictions.
Minimum three years of experience practicing primarily in estate planning.
Demonstrated experience leading client meetings, developing estate planning strategies, discussing fees, and retaining clients.
Confidence leading complex conversations, making recommendations, and helping clients make informed decisions.
Sound judgment to recognize matters outside the scope of estate planning and coordinate referrals to our corporate lawyers or external specialists.
Ability to work from Vancouver on a hybrid basis, with availability to start within approximately 30–45 days. Nice to Have
STEP designation (TEP) or active enrolment in the STEP program.
Experience with corporate Wills, alter ego trusts, joint partner trusts, and family trusts.
Existing relationships with accountants, wealth managers, insurance advisors, or other professional referral sources.
Experience with cross-border or U.S.-connected estate planning matters. No established referral network? That's okay.
