Take on a vital role within the Tsawwassen First Nation as a full-time Events and Workshop Planner. This position focuses on delivering cultural events and programming that celebrate community traditions and language. The Language & Culture Events and Workshop Planner plays a key role in coordinating workshops and community events to preserve and enhance Tsawwassen First Nation heritage.
Collaborate with the Language & Culture Supervisor and the Events & Food Services team to create impactful cultural experiences. Ensure that every event reflects the traditions and protocols of the Tsawwassen community. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver cultural workshops and community events
- Coordinate logistics like venue bookings and supplies
- Collaborate with community members and Elders for programming
- Develop and manage event budgets and purchasing
- Promote events through effective communication channels Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in event planning or cultural programming
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Experience working with Indigenous communities
- Solid organizational and project management skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License Engage with Tsawwassen culture and strengthen community bonds through well-planned events.
