- Perform tasks in accordance with plans and specifications and in accordance with instructions received from the foreman and site supervisor
- Perform excavation work and load or unload trucks using a hydraulic excavator
- Start up machinery safely in accordance with operator manuals and work instructions
- Ensure the machine is properly maintained and inspect its equipment daily to ensure it is in valuable condition, and complete the corresponding inspection report
- Comply with site safety rules at all times and adopt safe, efficient, and rigorous work methods
- Perform all other related tasks
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience
- Knowledge of GPS-guided equipment required
- CCQ certifications related to the heavy equipment used
- Good physical condition and quick reflexes to react rapidly in emergency situations
- Good vision (wide field of view and good spatial awareness)
