Overview We are seeking an Experienced Custom Cabinet Installer / Subcontractor for projects in the Duncan to Victoria areas, paid piece work.

This position involves installing high-quality custom cabinets and related millwork for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and various construction skills, with the ability to work independently. Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.

Duties

- Install custom cabinets, millwork, and related fixtures according to project specifications and schematics.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise installation.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and modify cabinetry using hand tools and power tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects.




- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices in construction.

Requirements

- Proven experience in cabinet installation or related carpentry roles within residential or commercial settings.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools.
- Knowledge of various construction trades including flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, siding, plumbing, electrical work, and drywall finishing is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction projects.
- Prior experience working as a subcontractor or independently managing installation projects preferred.

Must have your own professional tools, dependable work vehicle, and active WorkSafeBC registration.

Ability to commute/relocate: Duncan, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
