Job Duties
Design & CAD Responsibilities
- Create 2D/3D CAD drawings and models for castings, tooling, fixtures, and production components.
- Develop and update manufacturing process sheets (methods) for new and existing castings.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability of designs.
- Modify drawings based on engineering changes, tooling updates, or customer feedback.
- Support pattern design, riser/gating design (if applicable), and basic foundry method development.
Manufacturing / Process Responsibilities
- Analyze production workflow to improve efficiency, quality, and material usage.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new equipment and processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers for tooling, machining, and production-related components.
- Provide technical support to address production issues and suggest corrective actions.
4) Requirements Technical Requirements
- 2–5+ years experience in FOUNDRY manufacturing,
CASTING, machining, or metal production.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks).
- Strong Materials Engineer background and experience
- familiar the casting and foundry experience
- Understanding of machining processes, CNC programming basics, GD&T;, tolerances.
- Experience with process planning, method sheets, or manufacturing documentation.
- Familiarity with foundry processes +3 years experience
Skill Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Problem-solving skills in production or engineering issues.
- Solid communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
