Duties
- Safely load, unload, and transport furniture using heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other warehouse machinery
- Assist with order picking and packing to ensure accurate shipment processing
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while maintaining warehouse safety standards
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update shipment records
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Assist with construction or renovation projects as needed, utilizing construction experience for heavy lifting or assembly tasks
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related warehouse roles
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and loaders
- Experience with order picker systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) software
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Construction or building experience is a plus for handling assembly or installation tasks
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and equipment operation standards
- Valid certifications for forklift operation or crane use are preferred but not mandatory
