We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and protocols
- Support residents with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Maintain cleanliness of residents’ living areas through regular cleaning routines
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to the nursing staff
- Assist with activities that enhance residents' quality of life,
including recreational activities and social engagement
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly desirable
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care needs
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient approach
- Ability to administer medications safely and follow healthcare protocols accurately
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Capable of performing light cleaning, meal preparation, and home care tasks as needed
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to caregiving environments
