Heavy Equipment Technician



Responsibilities And Duties

- The successful candidate will be responsible for completing quality repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of construction equipment
- Completing preventative maintenance services as set out by checklists
- Is able to identify possible failures before they lead to downtime
- Complete equipment diagnostics and effectively communicate findings
- Overhaul and major repairs on components

- Maintain a clean and professional work environment at all times

Qualifications And Skills





- Exceptional attitude and understanding of the demands of the construction equipment industry
- Valuable communication skills
- Journeyman H.E.T. technician 3rd or 4th year apprentice

- Equipment experienced valued but not required, We welcome on highway and automotive technicians looking for a change
- Have a complete set of hand and air tools. Specialty diagnostic equipment and large tools will be supplied

- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of heavy equipment repairs
- Dealership experience and training considered an asset
- Proficient with equipment diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical, considered an asset

- Able to read and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to assist in diagnostics

Experience

- Mechanical: 2 years
