High Performance Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach (WAG)
Location: Langley, British Columbia
Job Type: Full‐time, Permanent
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Wage: $80,000 – $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience and certification)
Overview
Flip City Gymnastics Club is seeking a qualified and experienced High Performance Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach to support the growth of our competitive program. This position requires advanced technical expertise and the ability to coach athletes on pathways toward provincial, national, and international competition.
Key Responsibilities
● Plan and deliver high‐performance training programs for WAG athletes (CCP High Performance / National Stream).
● Lead athletes through advanced technical development, ensuring safe and progressive skill acquisition.
● Create annual, monthly, and daily training plans, including periodization and competition preparation.
● Set and monitor individual athlete goals aligned with provincial, national, and international pathways.
● Provide expert spotting, shaping, and technical correction across all apparatus (Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor).
● Prepare and coach athletes at competitions, training camps, and national/international events.
● Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and performance tracking.
● Collaborate with coaching staff to support a high‐performance training culture.
● Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, and club leadership.
● Mentor junior coaches and contribute to program development.
Qualifications
Required:
● Proven experience coaching high‐performance WAG athletes (national or international level).
● Strong technical expertise across all apparatus with knowledge of elite skill progressions.
● Demonstrated ability to develop athletes to high‐level competition standards.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
● Understanding of Long‐Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and protected sport principles.
Education & Certifications (or willingness to obtain):
● NCCP Competition Development (or international equivalent)
● First Aid & CPR
● Respect in Sport
● Making Ethical Decisions
Employment Terms
● Full‐time, permanent position
● 30–40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as required for training and competitions
● Work location: Flip City Gymnastics Club, Langley, BC

Compensation
● $80,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience, education, and certification
