Illusion Expert role overview

Illusion Experts are essential to creating the engaging and memorable experiences that define the Museum of Illusions. As a key member of the museum floor team, you will interact with guests of all ages, help demonstrate and explain exhibits, and ensure visitors have an enjoyable and seamless experience throughout the museum. This role combines guest engagement, exhibit facilitation, and museum cleanliness, helping maintain a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors.

What you would get to do:

- Welcome and engage guests with enthusiasm, helping create a fun and memorable museum experience.
- Assist guests with exhibits and illusions, explaining how they work and helping visitors capture photos and interactive moments.
- Maintain strong knowledge of museum exhibits and installations to guide guests and answer questions effectively.
- Support smooth visitor flow throughout the museum, helping manage traffic in popular exhibit areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest questions, feedback,



or concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with special events and group visits, including school field trips, birthday parties, and private bookings.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across the museum floor, Illusion Shop, restrooms, and entry areas during operating hours.
- Support admissions and retail operations, including ticket sales, merchandise transactions, and guest check-in when needed.
- Restock and maintain the Illusion Shop, ensuring merchandise displays remain organized and well-presented.
- Monitor exhibits and interactive areas, reporting maintenance issues or missing components to supervisors.
- Support overall museum safety and guests conduct guidelines to ensure a positive experience for all visitors.
- Report directly to the Shift Manager and provide updates on shift performance or operational issues.

What you should bring along

- Previous experience in retail, attraction, hospitality, entertainment, or customer-facing role is an asset.
- A passion for creating engaging and memorable guest experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with guests of all ages.
- Ability to maintain a positive, energetic, and professional presence on the museum floor.
- Comfort speaking with and assisting large groups of visitors in a busy environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to support colleagues during peak visitor periods.
- Ability to remain organized and attentive in a fast-paced environment with high guest traffic.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and presentation while representing the Museum of Illusions brand.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are an asset).

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
