Kelsey's Insurance Brokers

Athens

About Us: Kelsey’s Insurance Brokers Inc. is a well-established, family-owned property, casualty, and life insurance brokerage located in Athens, Ontario. Since 1968, we have built lasting client relationships with the desire of providing exceptional service, thoughtful advice, and a genuine commitment to helping people understand their insurance.

We are not a high-volume, transactional brokerage. We believe insurance is about education and communication, not simply making a sale. We are generous with our time if it can add value to our client's experience.

As a broker with our office, you will use your insurance knowledge, communication skills, and attention to detail to guide clients through a thorough and educational service process. Your work will contribute directly to clients feeling informed, valued, and well looked after. Our clients regularly express their appreciation for this approach, as reflected in our Google reviews.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and service-oriented Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join our team. This role will focus primarily on new business, guiding prospective clients through a detailed and thoughtful process of assessing their needs, comparing insurer options, explaining coverage, and arranging appropriate protection.

This is not a high-volume, price-driven sales position. Our approach is based on education, careful advice, and building lasting client relationships. The successful candidate will be organized, thorough, comfortable managing multiple moving pieces, and committed to providing clear and responsive service.

Although new business will be the primary focus, the broker will also assist with the servicing of existing client relationships when needed and work collaboratively with the rest of the brokerage team.

- Maintain thorough and accurate client records, documentation, follow-ups, and abeyances within the broker management system and insurer portals.
- Build trusted, long-term client relationships by providing responsive, professional, and personable service throughout the new-business process.
- Assist existing clients with policy changes, coverage questions, renewals, claims reporting, and other service needs when required.
