The Mississauga Ontario Health

Team is seeking an experienced leader skilled in strategic project management to join the team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to deliver on exciting, transformative initiatives, processes and best practices to establish and grow an Ontario Health Team in this community. The Manager, Strategic Projects, will lead staff in the planning, development and implementation of effective strategies to support the OHT’s goals and priorities.

This individual will be creative and strategic, with a broad range of experience in leadership, writing and presentation, strategic planning, and project management. This role will work with other OHT leaders and a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project design and implementation. This role will support a team of project managers on a range of OHT work streams.

Lead a team of project managers supporting integrated project delivery, by taking a systems-approach to strategic planning, decision-making,



risk management and overall reporting for assigned Mississauga Health projects Oversee all elements of integrated project management and strategic plan development, as well as implementing all necessary processes and practices to ensure the team is able to deliver on project objectives and successfully achieving the project’s goals

- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to team leadership and governance to achieve project deliverables
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams through all phases of project life cycle, providing coaching, motivation and guidance throughout the duration of projects
- Oversee and be accountable for project performance and status reporting to all relevant stakeholders
- Provide leadership to a team of project managers who engage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood
- Be accountable for monitoring and reporting on progress, problems and solutions to all stakeholders and elevate issues as appropriate
- Lead and support the team in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals to internal and external audiences
- Lead development of in-house project management knowledge and best practices
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including regional, provincial and/or private sector partners to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables Graduate degree in health care related area ~ 7+ years of experience in progressively senior roles focused on Project Management and Strategy ~5+ years in progressive leadership roles managing staff ~ excellent customer relations and stakeholder management skills; ability to work under pressure,



meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities ~ Proven experience in working with complex health structures and programs at multiple levels of an organization, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder needs ~ Experience creating and developing multiple strategic planning documents, ~ Knowledge of engagement best practices and approaches is an asset ~ Experience in a healthcare environment is an asset ~ Demonstrated experience with various social media platforms and with website development or design is an asset ~ Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills ~ Superior writing and PowerPoint design skills ~ Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office and Outlook required ~ Travel to partner sites will be required Trillium Health Partners is providing support for recruitment and hiring of this role as a partner on behalf of the Mississauga Ontario Health Team.
