Reporting to the Manager of Policy Planning, you will complete specialized land use studies and contribute to developing secondary plans.
Your role includes processing development applications and offering guidance on planning matters, ensuring alignment with community goals. You will represent the City at Ontario Land Tribunal hearings and assist with general planning administration throughout your tenure. Key Responsibilities:
- Complete specialized land use studies and planning projects
- Process a range of development applications for various land uses
- Prepare reports and recommendations for committees and Council
- Advise individuals and agencies on planning related matters
- Represent the City at Ontario Land Tribunal hearings Requirements:
- Degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, or equivalent
- 3 years of recent planning experience, preferably municipal
- Candidate or full membership in OPPI
- Robust understanding of municipal regulations
