Role Description The Intern C# Developer volunteer role is a remote position focused on supporting the development and maintenance of Verify’s check verification platform. Day-to-day tasks may include writing and debugging C# code, assisting with back-end web development, contributing to API integrations, and supporting database-related features under the guidance of senior developers.

The intern will help implement new functionality, participate in code reviews, write basic unit tests, and document technical changes. This volunteer role offers exposure to real-world software development practices, collaboration within a distributed engineering team,



and opportunities to learn secure and scalable coding techniques in a financial technology environment.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles.
- Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, ideally with exposure to web APIs and databases.
- Practical Programming skills with C# or similar languages, and familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio or .NET.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts such as classes, inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a remote, cooperative environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with distributed team members and documenting code.
- Enrollment in or completion of a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology) is beneficial.
- Interest in financial technology, secure coding practices, and building reliable, scalable back-end systems is a plus.
