Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)

Must have:

Strong hands-on Java skills

Experience with how to prompt AI tools (Copilot, Claude)

Strong communication skills – need to be able to interact with different teams, able to translate technical requirements to business stakeholders

Python skills – to be used in collaboration with AI tools

Financial industry knowledge

Open to learning new frameworks, tools, or technologies as needed

Years of experience:

1 role is at Level 3 (5-7 years of experience)

1 role is at Level 4 (7-15 years of experience)

We are looking for a robust technologist with Java skills. The role will include a combination of long-term strategic development and shorter-term business focused development on this trading platform. You would be expected to gain expertise in several components of this platform and take full ownership of your projects from requirement gathering to roll-out.





Skills Required:

Working knowledge in Java. (Expert Level)

Development experience in object-oriented programming and working with mixture of new and legacy systems.

Basic understanding of Fixed Income products is required and ability to communicate with traders.

Valuable problem-solving, result-focused, can-do attitude, and strong focus to keep the business running and competitive.

Ability to work in a team.

Demonstrate some ability to work with AI agents.

Skills Desired:

Scala and Python knowledge is nice to have.

Experience in the finance industry.

Open to learn and work with other technologies & AI tools as business objectives require

Work Experience Desired:

Applicant should have between 5-15 years of Java working experience in the industry, depending on their level of experience.
