Project Location: Wood Buffalo/Fort McMurray Project Duration: July 2026 through May 2027
Shift: 14 Days On / 7 Days Off Rotation - Consistent Schedule with extended time off between rotations

Potential for future employment opportunities upon project completion Job Brief: Control Tech is seeking Electrical Journeypersons to join our team. This position involves construction of industrial projects in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are safety & quality focused, and experienced working independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reads and interprets schematics and drawings related to electrical, mechanical,
and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications.
Repairs and adjusts system components (sensors, transmitters, programmable logic controllers, etc.); removes and replaces defective parts.
Pulls wire through conduits, holes, and splice, join, and/or connect wire to form circuits.
Tests circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
Completes daily field work orders and maintains hours worked and equipment used.
Completes inventory transfers and provides monthly warehouse inventory reports.
Senior Journeyman will complete on the job training documents for Junior Technicians.
Mentors/trains electrical apprentices.
Participates/complies with company safety programs & company policies.
Other duties as required.
Required Skills/Qualifications
Journeyman or interprovincial Red Seal Certificate in electrical.
Technical training or experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.
Experience using pressure and/or electrical test equipment to troubleshoot systems.
Ability to work long hours.
Standard First Aid/CPR with AED, H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
Providing a current driver’s abstract and valid photo ID.
