Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the insulation division, including field crews and apprentices
- Estimate, quote, and secure insulation work for industrial, commercial, and oilfield clients
- Plan and schedule projects, crews, equipment, and materials across multiple job sites
- Monitor project budgets, productivity, and progress, and report on division performance
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, client specifications, and applicable codes
- Champion the company safety program, leading hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and incident follow-up
- Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate journeypersons and apprentices, and support apprenticeship development
- Build and maintain client relationships and pursue recent business opportunities
- Coordinate with other divisions on integrated project scopes (fabrication, coatings, modules)
- Oversee division purchasing of insulation materials, jacketing, and consumables
Qualifications & Skills
- Journeyman Heat and Frost Insulator certification required; Red Seal endorsement preferred
- 5+ years of trade experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Proven estimating and project management experience in industrial or commercial insulation
- Strong knowledge of insulation systems and metal jacketing/cladding applications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
experience with estimating software an asset
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites
- Current safety tickets is an asset
