If you are a skilled CNC Machinist/ Machine operator looking for an opportunity to grow, Bruin has an exciting opportunity for you based in Edmonton, Alberta. This role will be responsible for the precision machining of parts for Bruin Instruments manufacturing facility.

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Red Seal Machinist with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in precision machining. The ideal candidate will have advanced proficiency in operating and programming HAAS vertical and horizontal machining centers, as well as Nakamura-Tome multi-axis CNC lathes. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-tolerance manufacturing environment and is committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

AS A MACHINIST, YOU WILL:

- Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
- Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Bruin Pump parts to OEM print dimensions.
- Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow, including but not limited to CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, manual mill, Manual Lathe, horizontal bandsaws, and other manual tools




- Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, CAD/CAM files, and maintain tight tolerances and finishes as required by drawing specifications.
- Able to set and adjust work/tool offsets with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of setups, tooling, and production runs.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
- Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- 5-10 years of shop experience running CNC mills or Lathes
- Red Seal Certified
- Haas CNC Experience
- Nakamura experience
- Forklift experience
- Operation of multiple machines
- Maintenance/ upkeep of machines
- Programming abilities are an asset

Schedule · Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Wage will be based on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
