Estimator – Signage & Printing

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Estimator with strong experience in the signage, printing, or large‑format production industry. This role is ideal for someone who understands materials, fabrication methods, installation requirements, and can confidently prepare accurate quotes and competitive bids.

You’ll work closely with our sales, design, and production teams to ensure every estimate is clear, precise, and aligned with project specifications. If you’re comfortable reviewing tender documents, filling out bid packages, and navigating tight deadlines, you’ll thrive here.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate estimates for signage, printing, and promotional product projects
- Review drawings, specs, site photos, and client requirements to determine scope
- Analyze material, labour, subcontractor, and installation costs
- Complete bid submissions, tender forms, and RFP documentation
- Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing and lead times
- Work with sales to ensure quotes are competitive and profitable
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and awarded jobs




- Collaborate with production to ensure estimates align with real‑world workflows
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and value‑engineering options

Required Skills & Experience

- Signage industry experience strongly preferred (large format, fabrication, installation, or print production)
- Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar quoting role
- Comfortable completing bid packages, tenders, and RFP submissions
- Strong understanding of materials (vinyl, substrates, hardware, lighting, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings/specs
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple estimates at once
- Proficiency with estimating or project management software is an asset
