The Production Technician will manufacture and assemble Gray Fox Strategic holsters, magazine carriers and related tactical equipment at our Ottawa facility.
This is a hands-on production role involving manufacturing, finishing, quality control, order fulfilment, inventory and general shop operations.
Comprehensive training will be provided. We are looking for someone dependable, mechanically inclined and detail-oriented who is willing to learn our equipment, processes and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production and Assembly
- Manufacture and assemble Kydex holsters, magazine carriers and related tactical equipment.
- Safely operate bandsaws, belt sanders, routers, drill presses, laser engravers, arbor presses and rotary tools.
- Follow established production processes and work instructions to produce consistent, accurate work.
Quality Control and Order Fulfillment
- Inspect finished products to confirm they meet Gray Fox Strategic quality standards.
- Package and ship customer orders using Shopify.
Shop Operations
- Maintain production equipment and a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory control and other production duties as required.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and safely lifting and handling production materials.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Strong Assets
- Manufacturing,
assembly, fabrication or production experience.
- Experience operating shop equipment and hand tools.
- Experience with Shopify shipping or warehouse fulfilment.
- A valid Canadian Possession and Acquisition License, including restricted privileges where applicable.

Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage of $19.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

Introductory Period The first six months of employment serve as a mutual introductory period with ongoing coaching, training and performance feedback. A formal review will be completed before the end of the introductory period.
Security and Licensing Requirements
Successful candidates must complete a Police Record Check. A valid PAL, including restricted privileges where applicable, is considered an asset and may be required for certain duties.
