The Kitchen
Helper will support the kitchen staff in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized work setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable restaurant experience in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support kitchen staff with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety compliance
- Help with basic cooking tasks under supervision, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations throughout shifts
- Ensure proper organization of ingredients and supplies for efficient kitchen operations
- Assist with serving food to customers or guests as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and hygiene standards to uphold a safe working workplace
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of shortages
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is a plus
- Experience in the food industry demonstrates reliability and a strong work ethic in fast-paced settings
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food service standards
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.50-$20.00 per hour
