Job Summary The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all hotel linens, towels, and other laundered items are cleaned, dried, folded, and distributed according to hotel standards. This role helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests by ensuring an adequate supply of fresh linens is available at all times.

The Laundry

Attendant works efficiently while following safety procedures and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other laundry items.

- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.

- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and remove items from circulation when necessary.

- Treat stained items using approved cleaning products and procedures.

- Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens for housekeeping and other hotel departments.

- Deliver clean linens to designated storage areas and collect soiled linens as required.

- Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and free of hazards.

- Monitor laundry chemical levels and report shortages or equipment issues to management.

- Follow proper infection control, chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures.

- Assist with inventory counts of linens, towels, and laundry supplies.

- Ensure all laundry equipment is cleaned and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.

- Report maintenance concerns or malfunctioning equipment promptly.

- Support housekeeping operations during busy periods as needed.

- Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.





- Provide courteous and professional service to guests and fellow team members.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience is an asset but not required.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Robust attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and stoop throughout the shift.

- Comfortable working in a warm, humid environment around commercial laundry equipment.

- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.

Working Conditions

- Flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.

- Exposure to heat, humidity, cleaning chemicals, and commercial laundry equipment.

Pay: $15.90-$16.90 per hour
