We are looking for a jaw-dropping 2D Lead Game Artist to join our growing team in our Montreal, Canada office. As a Lead Slots Game Artist, you will conceptualize, visualize, and produce the art in our games. You will be a central figure in one of our game teams, creating and directing the backgrounds, characters, symbols, UI’s, and logos of our slot games.

Each team creates its own games and are free to develop the games the way they want and decide on how to best proceed with the art and style. You will be given a great deal of freedom and influence over the game direction and let your creativity run wild. This full-time position requires seamless collaboration with other team members to meet deadlines while maintaining the highest visual standards.

You Will Be Responsible For

As a Lead Slots Game Artist at PearFiction Studios, you will be responsible for the creation of our casino games from concepts to launch. Conceptualize, design, and develop the art/look of the games

Creating mood boards, style guides, and sketches to communicate the art/look to the team

Create art assets for the games from sketch to final version

Work closely with the Creative Director, Developers, and the Game Mathematician to ensure the final game art/look is met

Supervise all graphical assets delivered by the game team

Create and maintain the visual look for all graphics ensuring that all marketing materials are visually engaging with a clear message

Ability to work under pressure; resolves operational and urgent problems

Provide feedback to the company’s creative team





Perform other tasks as required Essential Experience 3+ years as a professional slot game artist

BA/BS in fine art, illustration, graphic design, or equivalent working experience

Strong track-record of leading slot game art with the successful production of impactful slot games

Understanding online casino game art, with focus on optimizing games for all platforms, both regarding file size and performance

Ability to adapt different art styles in doing characters, backgrounds, and symbols design

Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

Experience in motion design software, such as Spine 2D and After Effects

Strong understanding of typography

Research, play, and study casino games to stay up-to-date with market trends and competition

Highly organized, experienced in running multiple projects and delivering to tight deadlines

Experience working with project tracking tools such as JIRA

Strong English written and verbal communication skills

Leadership attitude and not afraid to get your hands dirty

Excellent teamwork skills and ability to adapt Desirable Experience Slot Nerd or Casino Game Geek

Currently holding a position of Senior Game Artist or Senior 2D Illustrator at an established casino games studio

Valuable knowledge of casino games and real money gaming compliance, jurisdictions, trends, and regulatory bodies

Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and stay abreast of online casino game trends and developments/standards

Bilingual (French and English) is an asset

Experience in using Jira and / or other project management tools The role is open to candidates currently located in Montreal, Canada, or those willing to relocate. PearFiction is committed to supporting candidates interested in moving to Montreal by covering the legal and Canadian Work Permit fees.

Experience in producing online casino games will be prioritized during the selection process.
