We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This position is in out of school care Monday-Friday from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity among children.
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive classroom environment for all students, including those with disabilities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Ensure the safety of all students by following the facilities program plan,
ECE regulations and Alberta Health guidelines.
- Some cleaning responsibilities
Skills
- Proficiency in English. Bonus if you know a second language.
- Robust childcare experience, particularly in early childhood education settings.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with people with disabilities is desirable.
- Previous classroom experience is a must; a willingness to learn is essential.
