Emerald Park Home Hardware is looking to grow our team and is seeking for (1) Lumber Yard Associate, FT Permanent.
Responsibilities
- Load/unload materials, manually and via forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Identify & assist customers with information and help in gathering and loading orders.
- Keep the yard clean and the inventory neat & orderly.
- Be familiar with the location(s) of all inventory and equipment.
- Receive incoming materials, matching products to their bill of ladings.
- Gather and load materials for outgoing deliveries.
- Assist customers in handling large or heavy items.
- Restock lumber bins, sheds, etc. when they are depleted.
- Be aware of theft and take action, in line with company policy,
to report or discourage it.
- Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
- Must have valid drivers license.
- Forklift experience is an asset, however, we will also provide in-house training.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, management and employees.
- Ability to work a adaptable schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.
