Expand your underground mining expertise as a Maclean Bolter Operator with Hemlo Mining Corp. in Northwestern Ontario. This role focuses on safe installation of ground support, ensuring stability and safety. As a key member of the underground development team, you will operate Maclean bolting equipment to implement ground support as per engineering specifications and control plans.
Your experience in bolting standards, combined with expertise in hazard recognition, will ensure that you maintain ground safety and compliance throughout your shifts. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Maclean bolting equipment for ground support installation
- Accurately position the bolter for optimal performance
- Inspect work areas and identify potential hazards
- Install rock bolts and associated support structures
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and report defects Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of underground mining experience
- Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core certification
- Solid understanding of bolting practices and ground control
- Valid driver’s license is required
