Manufacturing Support Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on, solutions-driven Manufacturing Support Technician to support our production team in driving efficiency, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting product scale-up. This role is ideal for a technically skilled individual who enjoys working directly with production equipment while also contributing to process improvements, product development, and operational cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and support day-to-day production equipment issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Design, plan, and execute trials related to process changes, new product development, or equipment modifications.
- Develop, maintain, and train teams on SOPs related to production processes and equipment.
- Assist the product development team by translating prototypes or R&D; concepts into scalable production processes.
- Lead the scale-up of new products into full production, including equipment setup, workflow design, and process validation.




- Support the creation and ongoing optimization of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Monitor production data and track COGS to identify opportunities to improve capacity, reduce costs, and increase throughput.
- Collect and analyze production and trial data to build reports, track project progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on key performance indicators and improvement initiatives.
- Conduct ROI assessments on proposed process or equipment changes and present recommendations to leadership.
- Act as a “hands-on” contributor to the implementation of solutions on the production floor.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production setting, ideally in a role focused on process improvement or technical support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude – must be comfortable working directly with equipment.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and communicate technical information clearly.
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Assets:

- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is an asset.
- Experience writing SOPs, building BOMs, and tracking operational performance metrics.
- Precision machine assembly experience.
