Catholic Social Services is currently seeking a part-time, 36 hours per week, Market Coordinator in EDMONTON to join our Gianna Centre team. Providing excellent client-centered care, you are confident, thoughtful, and motivated to achieve success when supporting others in your community. Job Summary:
The Market Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing mentorship, hands-on training, and work experience opportunities to participating mothers involved in The Market at Gianna, Gianna Centre’s social enterprise. This role supports Market Moms in developing professional skills, gaining practical experience, and earning supplemental income, contributing to their personal and career growth.
In addition to these training and mentorship responsibilities, the Market Coordinator organizes product development, sales, and marketing initiatives that sustain and expand The Market at Gianna. Working collaboratively with the Program Manager, this position manages online and in-person market operations, develops visual communications, and implements marketing strategies to ensure a consistent revenue stream, branding and a positive public image for Gianna Centre.
Administrative
Process and fulfill all online orders, product sales, and related donations for The Market at Gianna Ensure that all publications (e.g. brochures, pamphlets, etc.) are current, accurate, and aligned with Gianna Centre’s services and values
Provide office support including customer service, data entry and appointment bookings
Attend staff meetings and training as required
Assist with event planning and logistics for Gianna Centre initiatives Social Media Develop a monthly content calendar and implement consistent, high-quality content across multiple platforms in line with the Agency’s Social Media Management Policy
Collaborate with the Manager regarding Social Media posts, content and consents as required
Monitor engagement, professionally respond to comments, and refer sensitive issues to management as needed
Capture and edit photos for The Market at Gianna, ensuring compelling visual presentation of products
Develop and update written and graphic content for the online store and promotional materials
Track and analyze social media metrics to improve reach and effectiveness
Stay informed on relevant topics, trends, and best practices in pro-life communication and digital marketing Perform other related duties as assigned Social Enterprise, E-Commerce and Marketing Manage and maintain The Market at Gianna e-commerce website (Square), ensuring smooth user experience and secure, efficient transactions
Oversee logistics regarding product inventory, order processing, and payment Plan,
and coordinate and attend all community pop-up events as required
Working as replacement when short of volunteers or Market Moms
Create and maintain consistent branding across all digital and physical platforms
Coordinate product photography, descriptions, and promotional emails for current or seasonal items
Research industry trends, develop new product ideas, and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and web traffic (e.g., SEO, Google Analytics) Mentorship Vet (intake), train, and mentor participating Market Moms, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate tracking of hours, payment and sales
Communicate regularly with Market Moms to confirm attendance and address any challenges
Provide hands-on guidance and maintain market operations
Encourage growth and self-sufficiency through a “hand-up, not hand-out” approach, celebrating achievements and fostering confidence What This Job Requires: Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
Valid AHS Food Safety Alberta Certification Minimum two years in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field; administrative, experience an asset.
Proficiency in business use of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.) A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a minimum of two years of Canadian driving experience
Summary of driving record with no more than six (6) demerit points current within one (1) year.
Police Information Check including vulnerable sector search, and Intervention Record Check current within six (6) months Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Strong storytelling and visual content creation skills Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media tools, and design platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Eventbrite)
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Customer service focused, with diplomacy, tact, and professionalism
General understanding of pregnancy, fetal development, and fertility awareness is an asset Core Competencies Analytical Thinking: Uses logic and systematic reasoning to identify solutions.

Attendance at meetings and community events as required What We Offer: The salary for this position (based on 36 hours/week) is $46,768.02 - $52,631.12 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
