Dimachem Inc. is an established chemical blending and packaging company based in Windsor, Ontario. We are looking to hire a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our team.

About The Role: This key position within our manufacturing facility will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and inventory raw material and finished product. The operator will be accountable for the protected and effective operation of the vehicle and will be responsible to ensure the working order of the forklift at all times. In addition, this position will assist with general labour duties as assigned by the supervisor.

You are a detail oriented individual who can multitask in a fast paced environment. You understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing and incoming items. You are a proven team player who is both flexible and highly adaptable and a strong collaborator that works well individually, as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

- Working closely with the production team this individual will be responsible for picking, palletizing and loading orders as per incoming sales demand.
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics coordinators, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.




- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
- Participate in clean-up and maintenance, as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Follow direction set by the Manager or Supervisor.
- Occasionally lifting of product to and from pallets weighing <30lbs
- Ability to execute tasks in both a warehouse and office environment
- Adhering to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

- Lift truck certification and 1-3 years' experience in a material handling based role is preferred.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently and in a team setting
- Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking
- Pulling, packing, and loading
- Must be able to work flexible hours and the occasional weekend
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 20-40lb boxes regularly throughout a shift
- Previous inventory based / manufacturing experience is an asset.




- Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism with a focus on developing strong internal working relationships.

Physical Demands

- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands to handle or feel materials and equipment.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a production setting.
- The noise level can be loud, and temperatures fluctuate depending on the season.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas.
