Role Description The Mechanical Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Listowel, ON. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models for agricultural machinery and systems, using CAD tools to support fabrication and installation.

The Mechanical

Designer collaborates with project managers, and millwrights, to translate project requirements into accurate mechanical designs, ensuring safety, manufacturability, and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing specifications, performing basic calculations, updating design documentation,



assisting with research and development activities, and supporting design revisions based on feedback from the field and fabrication teams.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for creating precise mechanical layouts and models.
- Applied knowledge of Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering principles for industrial equipment and systems.
- Ability to contribute to Research and Development (R&D;) efforts, including prototype evaluation and design improvements.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related discipline.
- Experience in industrial or Agri-Food environments is an asset.
- Proficiency with common CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and basic engineering calculations.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to industry standards and company procedures.

Preffered Qualifications Experience working in an agricultural field.

- Robust SolidWorks (or relevant software) knowledge
- Expieriece using PDM vault management systems
