Ninja Coach - Lead Position

Love working with kids and want a job that doesn't feel like a job? At Willing 2 Ninja (W2N), you'll coach kids through a fun, challenging obstacle course program that builds their strength, resilience, and confidence, all while having a blast doing it.

We're looking for a Lead Coach ready to run classes with confidence, keep things safe, and be someone kids genuinely look forward to seeing each week.

Hours typically range from 10 to 25+ per week, depending on the season and our schedule. We know that's a range, and we're upfront about why: our hours shift with our team and our season, but we'll work with you to land on something that fits your life. And if you want to grow into more hours over time, that door is open.

A Day in This Role

- Open the gym and set the space up, adjusting obstacles for whichever age group is coming in
- Check in with your assistant coach so they're ready to go
- Greet families and kids as they arrive
- Run the full class, warm-up through cool-down, using our class plans
- Demonstrate obstacles and help kids push through challenges
- Lead a quick group discussion tied to our Willing 2 Values
- Keep an eye on safety and how the class is flowing
- Jot notes for comment cards and coach feedback
- Chat with parents at pick-up as needed
- Close up the gym at the end of your shift

Who We're Looking For

- 18 or older, since this role includes opening and closing the gym solo
- Reliable, communicative, and someone we can count on to show up
- Confident leading a group of kids on your own




- Calm under pressure in a fast moving environment
- Comfortable talking with both kids and parents
- Able to follow a class plan independently and stay organized
- Safety minded, with the initiative to act when something needs attention
- Physically able to demonstrate obstacles, climb, hang, stand for long stretches, and lift 25 lbs

Nice to Have You don't need to check every box here, we care more about finding the right person for our team. That said, these would help:

- Experience coaching, teaching, or working with kids
- A background in athletics, fitness, or sports
- Youth recreation, camp leadership, or similar program experience
- Current First Aid certification (or willingness to get certified)
- Comfort with computers and basic admin work, since there's room to pick up admin hours down the road

Schedule

- Weekday afternoons and evenings, roughly 3:00 PM to 7:15 PM, Monday through Thursday
- Occasional Fridays or Saturdays for drop-ins, birthday parties, or special events

Pay $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level. Wage increases are available as your responsibilities and experience grow with us.
