Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Practitioner to support both Corporate Clinic Operations and Field Health Programming. This role blends high-quality primary care delivery with operational leadership and program development. A key component of this role includes regular travel to corporate Field based locations to support onsite healthcare delivery, relationship building, and program implementation for employees working in remote environments.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, service-oriented, and motivated by delivering exceptional care across diverse settings.
Key Responsibilities
Client Care (Clinical Practice)
- Practice to full NP scope including diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing
- Provide both virtual and in-person care (Calgary clinic and field-based)
- Perform procedures and support onsite clinical needs during field visits
- Develop individualized, evidence-based care plans
- Coordinate referrals and specialist consultations
- Support navigation across healthcare systems (AB & BC as applicable)
- Monitor and reassess patient outcomes to ensure continuity
- Provide phlebotomy and point-of-care support as required
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build trusted relationships with clients, families, corporate partners, and community healthcare providers.
- Deliver an exceptional concierge-style client experience through compassionate, relationship-focused care.
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team while contributing to quality improvement, clinical excellence, and operational innovation.
- Provide mentorship and support to colleagues while fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
Program Development
- Support the ongoing growth and evolution of SO Health Group's Corporate Health programs.
- Contribute to program planning, clinical quality initiatives, and the development of efficient care pathways.
- Ensure care is delivered safely, ethically, and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Travel Opportunities This role includes the opportunity to participate in scheduled field clinics across Northern Alberta and British Columbia.
Travel is planned in advance and is ideal for Nurse Practitioners who enjoy combining clinical practice with occasional travel, relationship-building, and delivering care to underserved communities.
Field Travel
- Anticipated travel frequency: TBD based on program demands (approx. 6x/year)
- Typical duration: 3–4 consecutive days per field visit
- Travel locations may include Northern Alberta and British Columbia (e.g., Dawson Creek region)
- Travel schedules will align with operational needs and program growth
- Compensation and annual bonus structure will reflect field engagement and contribution
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner licensed and in good standing with CARNA
- Willingness to obtain BC Nurse Practitioner licensure
- Minimum 5 years primary care experience required
- Experience in private healthcare, corporate health, or service-based industries is an asset
- Strong clinical judgment with ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Comfortable working across virtual platforms and EMRs
