The Occupational
Therapist at Carewest will take charge of case management for several clients facing mental health challenges.
Your role involves conducting thorough assessments, facilitating group therapies, and developing therapeutic relationships to empower seniors in recovery. You will join a dedicated team committed to providing quality care across the Geriatric Mental Health Program. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead case management for clients with mental health needs
- Conduct mental health, risk, and cognitive assessments
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions
- Perform family interviews to enhance care strategies
- Work with an interprofessional team for client support Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy is required
- Registration with AAROT needed
- Experience in mental health is required
- Previous facilitation of group therapy preferred
