Join CHEO as an Occupational Therapist in Ottawa's Eating Disorders Program, where you will support children and youth navigating severe eating disorders. You’ll provide direct care and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess children's daily functioning, self-care abilities, and sensory profiles.
This role involves crafting individualized treatment plans while engaging in group therapy and training programs. Additionally, your involvement in clinical research will drive creative practices in pediatric health. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess daily functioning in home and school environments
- Develop coping strategies for self-care and vocational needs
- Provide individualized and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate on treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal excellence
