Key Responsibilities A Part time Academic is required to teach Applied Study in the Oboe and Percussion/Drum Set from September 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027 (Fall Term 2026 and Winter Term 2027). Duties include but are not limited to teaching weekly individual lessons and weekly group performance and/or ensemble sessions; grade submission as per approved guidelines; provision of a Method of Assessment; coordination of student ensemble requirements; adjudication at mid-term and final juries in their idiom, as well as third-year and graduation recitals. Small ensemble coaching may be assigned as needed. The instructors are expected to announce the end-of-term student ratings/evaluations of instruction. These are hourly-paid teaching positions reporting to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts. Qualifications/Requirements Of Position Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Music;

Significant professional experience in performance;

Proven successful pedagogical experience in the instructor’s instrument;

Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement Additional Information All offers of employment as a Part-Time Academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the course and approval by the University.
