Contribute to facility upkeep at Nova Scotia Health as a Part-Time Maintenance Worker II. Support maintenance operations and perform various tasks related to property care in South Cumberland Community Care Centre. As a Maintenance Worker II, you will report to the Maintenance & Operations Assistant Manager and perform semi-skilled tasks related to the upkeep of health facilities and grounds.
Your role will involve operation, monitoring, and maintenance of infrastructure, helping with repairs in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry. You will follow safety codes and maintain records through the work order system. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and assess mechanical and electrical systems
- Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing and HVAC
- Assist with facility and grounds upkeep tasks
- Maintain and apply blueprints and specifications
- Collaborate with team members for efficient tasks Requirements:
- One-year technical trade program completed
- Three months of experience in two trade areas
- Familiarity with work order systems
- Ability to support maintenance at multiple sites
