About the Role
HealthOPM is currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join a welcoming retirement home in the Goderich Town area. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care and making a positive difference in the lives of seniors, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living
- Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting resident independence
- Assist with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping as required
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans
- Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team
- Adhere to infection prevention, health and safety, and organizational policies
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized Ontario program
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 12 months)
- Current TB screening/clearance
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in retirement or long-term care is an asset
- Reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing quality resident care
