Role Description The Pet Sitter/Dog Walker provides hands-on, in-home care for clients’ pets, including feeding, fresh water, basic grooming, and safe dog walking in the Appleton-Oshkosh-Neenah area. Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting homes, following detailed care instructions, administering medications as directed, cleaning up pet-related messes, and monitoring animal behavior and wellbeing. The role also involves providing companionship, playtime, and enrichment, as well as sending updates, photos, and reports to clients to maintain clear communication.

Team members may perform light house-sitting tasks such as bringing in mail, adjusting lights, or watering plants as requested. This is a part-time,



on-site role requiring travel between client homes within the service area, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Animal Care and Pet Care skills, including safe handling, basic health observation, and comfort with pets of various ages, sizes, and breeds.
- Candidates should possess Pet Sitting and House Sitting skills, including reliability, respect for client homes, and adherence to detailed care routines.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication skills, including timely updates to clients, professional phone and text etiquette, and accurate documentation of visits.
- Comfort administering medications (oral, topical, injections, fluids, insulin) or willingness to learn with training is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the Appleton-Oshkosh-Neenah area are required.
- Ability to work independently, manage time across multiple visits, and handle physical tasks such as walking dogs in various weather conditions.
- Prior professional or volunteer experience with animals (shelters, rescues, veterinary clinics, or pet care services) is a plus.
- Background check eligibility and commitment to compassionate, humane treatment of all animals are essential.
