Own Your Pharmacy

Toronto

For the pharmacist who was always going to end up owning one.

You have been running someone else’s store for years. You know the vendor agreements, the inventory carry, the MedsCheck workflow, the staffing math, the technicians worth keeping. You have opinions about how the place should be run, and most of them are better than the ones coming down from above you.

You are not looking for another manager’s job. You have probably looked at listings. You may have talked to a broker, or asked a bank what it would take. Something stopped you — the financing, the diligence, the idea of signing personally on a business you got twelve days to inspect, or just not having anyone in your corner who does this for a living.

We are a private firm that acquires independent pharmacies in Ontario and runs them in long-term partnership with the pharmacist who operates them. Not as a chain. Not from a head office. One pharmacist, one store, with a real stake in what they build.

We are looking for the pharmacists who want that.

What the partnership looks like

· You operate the pharmacy as your own. You hold professional responsibility, set the clinical standard, hire your team, and own the P&L.; We are not sending you a planogram.

· A genuine long-term ownership path. This is a partnership structure, not a salaried management role with a title. The specifics are what we work out together — they depend on the store, on you, and on what you want the next twenty years to look like.

· We handle the transaction side. Finding the right store, valuation, diligence, negotiation, legal, financing, closing. That is our profession the way dispensing is yours, and it is the part that stops most pharmacists from ever getting there.

· Support without a corporate office. Buying leverage, benchmarking against other stores in the group, someone experienced to call when you are staring at a lease renewal or a wholesaler contract. Nobody scripting your greeting.

· Real compensation from day one. You are paid properly as the pharmacist and operator while the long-term side builds. Your household does not run on someday.

What you will actually do

· Serve as the pharmacist and day-to-day operator of an acquired pharmacy

· Hold the Designated Manager role and carry full skilled and regulatory accountability for the practice

· Hire, train, and lead the pharmacy team

· Own the store’s financial performance — script volume, margin, inventory, labor, and cash

· Build the clinical services side of the business, including the expanded scope Ontario pharmacists now practice under

· Work with us through the transition from the outgoing owner, especially on keeping patients, staff, and prescriber relationships intact

· Help us evaluate other pharmacies in your area, if that interests you

Who this is for

Required

· Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A), or eligible and in process

· At least 5 years of practice, including 2+ years as a manager, designated manager, or owner

· Direct P&L; or store-level operating responsibility — you have been accountable for numbers, not just for the dispensary

· Located in, or willing to relocate within, the Greater Toronto Area / Southern Ontario

· Clean regulatory history

What tells us you are the one

· You have already priced a pharmacy, talked to a broker, or asked a bank about financing

· You are frustrated by decisions made above you that you know are wrong for your patients

· You think about the business,

not only the practice — you have views on front-shop mix, on compounding, on long-term care, on which services actually pay

· You want to build something you would hand to your own successor in twenty years

· You would rather run one store you are proud of than manage twelve you are not

This is not for you if

· You want a straightforward salaried job and nothing more

· You want to be passive

· You are looking for a two-year stop on the way somewhere else

How this goes

1. Apply. Resume plus a few sentences on why you want to own. That is enough.
2. Confidential call (30 min). We tell you who we are and what we are building. Your current employer never hears from us.
3. Working session. We look at a real pharmacy’s numbers together and talk about what you would do with it.
4. We get specific. Structure, terms, economics, and what partnership concretely means for you — in full detail, with your own accountant and lawyer involved. We expect you to bring them.
5. We find and close the right store, together.

Every conversation is confidential. We understand what it means to explore this while employed, and we have done it before with people in exactly your position.

Location

Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario. Specific locations depend on which acquisitions close and where you want to be.

Compensation

$100,000–$200,000, dependent on opportunity. Plus full benefits and professional dues covered, and the long-term partnership economics we will walk through with you directly.

Apply

Send your resume and a short note. If you would rather start with a question than an application, that works too — write to [email protected].
