Rx Drug Mart #1002 is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Sechelt, British Columbia.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Patient-Focused Care Responsibilities

- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
- Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
- Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
- Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
- Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Experience in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
- Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and effective in prescription data entry is an asset.
- Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends,



and holidays as needed

Schedule

- 32 to 40 hours per week.
- To obtain full-time hours, candidates will work at the secondary location, Pharmasave #257, located at 5663 Cowrie St, Sechelt, BC V7Z 0P6.
- Typical shifts are scheduled on Mondays and Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Candidates must be available to work during these days and hours.
