Head & Neck Surgical Oncology

Work With: Dr. Anthony Nichols, Otolaryngologist – Head & Neck Surgeon

Dr. Anthony Nichols is seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join his hospital-based Head & Neck Surgical Oncology practice. Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program in Canada or the United States. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a high-volume surgical oncology team, providing comprehensive care to patients with head and neck cancers throughout their treatment journey.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and hospital staff to deliver exceptional, patient-centred care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
- Assess and manage pre-operative and post-operative patients.
- Facilitate investigations, including imaging, laboratory testing, and specialist consultations.
- Coordinate patient care and follow-up throughout diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
- Provide patient education and counselling regarding treatment plans and recovery.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Participate in inpatient rounds and outpatient clinics.
- Assist in minor surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.




- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program in Canada or the United States.
- Certified as a CCPA or PA-C.
- Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or currently in the process of obtaining registration.
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in surgical specialties or oncology is considered an asset but is not required.
