River Spirit Golf Club is a premier 27-hole golf facility, family-owned and operated, known for its exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Pro Shop Manager to oversee our retail operations and staff, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our members and guests.

Position Overview

This is a 10-month position, with December and January off. While previous experience in the golf industry is beneficial, we also encourage applicants with backgrounds in retail, inventory management, staff supervision, and scheduling to apply. If you have experience in hospitality, event coordination, or enjoy working in a customer-focused environment, this could be a great fit for you!

The Pro Shop Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the golf shop, including retail management, inventory control, staffing, and overall customer experience. This is not a teaching position but rather a key leadership role focused on merchandising, sales, and golf shop operations. This role starts as an hourly position, with the opportunity to transition to salary once you demonstrate consistency in work hours and job performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Retail &
- Merchandising

- Manage product selection, purchasing, and inventory control.

- Maintain visually appealing and well-organized retail displays.

- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue.

- Work with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and promotions.

- Customer Service &

- Membership Relations





- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.

- Handle inquiries, special orders, and member requests efficiently.

- Ensure a skilled and welcoming atmosphere in the golf shop.

- Staffing &

- Operations

- Train, and supervise pro shop staff.

- Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.

- Monitor performance and provide ongoing coaching and support.

- Work closely with golf operations to coordinate tee times and tournament support.

- Administration &

- Financials

- Track sales, manage budgets, and generate reports on pro shop performance & inventory

- Handle point-of-sale (POS) (lightspeed) transactions and ensure accuracy in pricing and promotions.

- Troubleshoot and fix cashout discrepancies at the end of each day. Must be comfortable using math to identify and correct errors in financial transactions.

- Implement policies and create procedures to streamline operations.

Qualifications &

- Skills

- Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a golf or sports-related environment.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

- Knowledge of golf products, apparel, and equipment is an asset.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
