PearFiction Studios is looking for a motivated QA Lead to join our team. If you’re passionate about gaming and thrive in a collaborative, small team environment, we’d love to hear from you! Ideal candidates will have extensive experience testing browser-based HTML5 casino games and a solid understanding of regulations within the online gambling industry.

Responsabilities

Lead the research and documenting of bugs in our casino games Develop and implement manual and automated testing practices required by each jurisdictions and regulatory bodies in the gambling industry

Work closely with all development and production team members to develop and implement manual and automated testing practices





Execute test cases for regression and functional testing

Reviewing pull request builds to ensure issues are resolved

Update current test scripts as needed

Perform other tasks as required ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of casino game testing knowledge

Good understanding of casino games and real money gaming compliance, jurisdictions, and regulatory bodies

Online games testing knowledge, specifically HTML5 or browser-based games Experience working in agile and iterative environments

Experience working with project tracking tools such as JIRA

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Solid analytical skill and problem-solving skills

Strong, proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Understanding web browser game development, with focus on mobile devices Desirable Experience Familiarity with version control (Git)

Genuinely wants to do a good job as a matter of pride in one’s work

Keen to learn and demonstrate ability

Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and stay abreast of online game developments/standards

Bilingual (French and English) is an asset

Language Requirements The candidate must have excellent proficiency in French, both spoken and written. A strong command of English, both spoken and written, is also required due to frequent interactions with our partners, non-French-speaking clients, and colleagues outside Quebec. This position is open to candidates currently based in Montreal or those able to relocate before their start date. Candidates with experience in online casino game development will be given preference.
