Reports to the Nurse Manager, or designate, the Registered Nurse - Perinatal plans and provides direct nursing care to obstetrical patients in the hospital in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies; national, provincial, regional and local obstetrical guidelines and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant Graduate of a recognized Perinatal Nursing specialty program.



Current CPR Basic Rescuer.

Breastfeeding Course Certificate

Two (2) years recent related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience Skills And Abilities - Ability to apply the nursing process effectively in a well-organized manner to the care of assigned patients as required by the hospital and described in BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standared of Nursing Practice.
