Make a difference in the community as a Residential Care Worker with the Developmental Disabilities Association in Vancouver. This part-time, temporary position requires a compassionate and proactive individual to support residents in a group home.
You will help meet physical, emotional, and social needs through daily living activities. Collaboration with a dedicated team and the ability to independently solve problems will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents in daily living and recreational activities
- Support residents’ emotional and social needs effectively
- Work independently and as part of a team-oriented team
- Enhance residents' quality of life with initiative
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Social Services or related field
- 1-2 years’ experience working with developmental disabilities
- Class 5 Driver's License required
- Medical Clearance for physical tasks
- Criminal Record Clearance needed Support individuals with developmental disabilities and help them thrive in the community as part of DDA's mission.
