Food World Plus is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Retail Grocery Accountant to support our finance team and manage full-cycle accounting operations within a grocery retail workplace.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in retail grocery accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, vendor reconciliation, sales reconciliation, cost tracking, and financial reporting. The candidate should understand grocery operations, including purchasing, receiving, inventory movement, shrink, margins, and supplier transactions.

This role requires a highly organized individual who can work closely with store operations, buyers, vendors, and management to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

- Manage full-cycle accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger,



and reconciliations.
- Process vendor invoices, purchase invoices, and supplier payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Perform daily sales and POS reconciliation.
- Manage inventory accounting, including:
- Inventory counts
- Inventory adjustments
- Shrink and wastage tracking
- Cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Gross margin analysis

- Review purchase orders, receiving documents, and supplier invoices.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports related to sales, expenses, inventory, and profitability.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and support audits.
